This stunning bloom appears very rarely and only at night. It is a highly fragrant succulent that is native to South America.
Lady of the night - 'Dama da noite': Epiphyllum oxipetalum
Wow, beautiful contrast! I can't say much more than that this is an excellent photo!

Radical, I am not terribly sure where its natural habitat would be. I assume tropical, as it grows mainly in Brazil, Mexico and some parts of Asia. One way or another, it would be hard to photograph it in its natural habitat, as it only flowers at night and tropical jungle (I'm dramatizing of course) somewhat loses its appeal at night ; )
The flower dies very soon after picking, so it isn't the kind of thing you can have sitting in a vase. It dies with the first hint of dawn too.

Remember, remember the fifth of November,
The gunpowder, treason and plot,
I know of no reason
Why gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot
